Sorry but what game were u watching.
I ask myself the same question pretty much every time someone like that posts. Like i said before, when you have a 'Team X are cheaters' mentality, all you'll see in the game is them cheating, no matter how they play.

Wrong. Race has to do with ethnicity, not "colour".
Race is one component of ethnicity, and race determines ethnicity, not the other way around. Note also (from answers.com 'race' definition) "# A local geographic or global human population distinguished as a more or less distinct group by genetically transmitted physical characteristics.". Colour is a genetic characteristic.

Right, I'm a Zizou fan, but in all honesty the Award should go to Cannavaro.

Zidane wins World Cup Golden Ball.

The prize was decided by media votes, cast before Zidane was shown the red card. Zidane received 2,012, Italian captain Fabio Cannavaro finished second (1,977) and his team mate Andrea Pirlo was third (715).

Brazil and Spain shared the fair play award.

Other Fifa awards from the World Cup finals:

Golden Shoe (top scorer): Miroslav Klose (Germany)

Most Entertaining Team: Portugal

Best Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Buffon (Italy)

Best Young Player: Lukas Podolski (Germany)

Zidane won it fair and square even if he red carded himself i would still give him the award France shopuld be renamed to Le Zizou, he basically one handedly carried them to the finals. Most entertaining team portugal???? some of the voters must be high of weed or something.

Good decision.

Should have been Argentina or Germany

Best Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Buffon (Italy)
Spot on

Best Young Player: Lukas Podolski (Germany)
Should've been C.Ronaldo

Zidane only played well in a couple of the games. How did he get golden ball

Viera, Makelele, Ribery, Thuram etc might have also had something to do with it ;)

I'd give Germany "most entertaining" award, and I would have preferred Cannavaro to get the top award. He's got to be the best defender in the entire world.

Yes. Red was in order.
Note: I don't necessarily share Michael Cockerill's thoughts.
You're cool, responding to the link.

Also, I don't like the idea of having a constant video ref. I think it'd ruin the fast flow of the game, which is one of the sport's greatest attributes. I do however think any decision within the box is allowed to be taken to a third ref, because they're so pivotal to the game, and because the game is stopped by any ref decision in the box anyway.

I wouldn't say portugal for most entertaining was too outrageous, probably shaded out by that Cambiasso goal against Serbia though.

In no way am I saying that he actually has made any slur, but if so this will be catastrophic for FIFA. All of their effort to "Kick racism out of football" will effectively be destroyed - how can they expect to stamp racisnm out among the fans if the players won't. This scenario is much more tragic to me than Zizou not ending his career with the hollywood fairytale.

BUT! Nothing has happened, let's wait before even considering this!

Also a bit of a shame for Materazzi, in a way. The build-up highlighted him as the weakpoint Henry would exploit. Defensively (bar the pen) he was excellent, outshining even Cannavaro. But that is all lost in the shadow of the red card now.

It's funny how Ronaldo lost the best young player award based on "fair play" but Zidane went on to win the Golden Ball :)

FIFA has done it again.

The verdict for the Golden Ball is made before the World Cup final, and announced afterwards.

It'd set a dangerous precedent to revoke the golden ball.

That is true.

Anyway I thought it was rather ironic. In addition to the headbutt incident, Zidane dived quite a few times in the Portugal game alone.
