What is this Between the Flags Video? What departments have to view it?

It is a short video that sets up a framework for compliance with legal requirements as well as company ethics.

I'm not sure on the scope of the video, but I know I was shown it twice already (Corporate IT, Norwest).

It appears everyone at Norwest is required to see it, and it sounds like quite a few people at store level as well. In fact it is probably company wide.

will you be able to get the QFF points from other woolworths limited stores (ie. BigW) or just the supermarkets.

some ppl in our store have got the new shirts - shame they are the same green colour...
also, does anyone have any inside info on the time frame for the rebrand rollout?

i think QFF only works at Woolies/Safeway (know for sure it excludes Dan Murphy's and Thomas Dux)

Make sure you link your credit card rewards to QFF aswell. That way you double up on the points by using everdayrewards card + credit card.

One downside for me, because you only get points on the $$$ spent over $30 I'm gonna have a lot more people bringing groceries thru liquor to add to their booze, as it encourages larger single purchases to maximise points. More people will also work out that you can have your checkout transaction 'saved' and then add stuff to it in liquor, people will have to escort them down to liquor etc to make sure they pay it's going to get fairly annoying imo. There's a lot of tightarses out there.

the one upside is it will discourage people from getting you to stop the transaction every $30 for petrol - i hate those people :p

You better not tell everyone about it then ;)

Oh, right.

I'm currently at big w, and ...between the flags.

WHY?:burn:

(we accidentally made the volume of the dvd player a little too loud, so half of the store could all hear this "BETWEEN THE FLAGSSSSSSSSSS!" and then four of us laughing..not the best idea :D)

I need help.

I used to work for Woolworths but resigned due to family matters. It has been 8 months already. Now I'm thinking of calling the manager to ask if he can re-hire me.
Does it sound awkward?

I wonder why Iam not getting any response. Shall I go to my local Safeway and give application personally? Please I need guidance Iam so desperate to have a job. Iam 27years old. Is this the reason they are not giving me call?

My store doesn't let people do this. And I wish they'd implement the same policy for cigarettes too.

Hi Guys,
Newbie here!

Just wondering if anyone can give me the pay rates for checkout operators in NSW? I keep getting told I can earn more working at Woollies on the checkout, but can't find any info on the net as to what the pay rates would be?
thanks for your help...

Grrrrrrr!!

All Tasmanian refurbs have been canned til 2011!! Ours was meant to start like next week. This is a regular occurence, at my old store we were "locked in" for a refurb every year but its still in that horrible old dark green, triangular type format. I was so looking forward to self serve.

The Qantas thing won't really take off here cos no-one uses Everyday Rewards or Everyday Money, but I saw on the positively pornographic Woolies TV that staff can just register their discount card and start earning the points. But I can't find where to do it anywhere.

"From mid-2009, you'll be able to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points when shopping for groceries and liquor at Woolworths Supermarkets and Woolworths Liquor stores in Australia (excluding Tasmania)."

GAH!!!!

fuming!

My virgin blue points are worth poo overseas, I wanted Qantas ones. Vagina.

The PW screen forms part of the AutostockR routine, basically under HOST there is something called PRODSOM, from PRODSOM you can access the PM (Promotions Management) screen, from there there are the PL, PI and PW screens.

I know the PL screens are supposed to be done on wednesday, for promotions starting in two weeks, so basically you see what is coming up on special in two weeks, how much you save, how much this item sold previously on different promotions, and basically tell AutostockR how much you think your Promotional Uplift will be, and whether you want any stock for Bulk Displays.

PW screens on the other hand are used to manage promotions in the CURRENT week for delivery on later loads, so you can edit stuff you did in your PL screens (e.g. say Benson and Hedges Smooth arent selling as well as you thought, so you can downgrade the store demand - or increase it if it's selling better)

Never quite sure what the PI screen is for.

edit: i think i've got it the right way round with PI and PL

pretty well done. PI is used for individual items. so where as in PW and PL you can filter by departments, fine departments etc, PI is used for individual items. PI is mainly used for on-going promotions as well as setting demands and display quantities for long-term displays, provided the items are in sell-up batches.

PW on cigarettes isnt really a necessity, as promotions are not advertised. If there is a sales spike on any item due to the promotion, autostockr will automatically increase the demand for that particular line, if nobody has done PW's.
