I couldn't find many free things, that was the down part! My friends who went to the COFA place got free earphones, USB and a book! I was so jealous haha.
Did anyone go to the international business talk? The Asian man was sooo hilarious! I didn't get much out of him though :(
The economics talk was quite interesting, hearing the 'Airport economist' story was entertaining and amazing!

It was pretty good, I loved all the science/engineering displays!

Kicking myself that I didn't go to the Adv Science lecture now!

I liked the actual uni, but the colleges not so much. I was thinking how many BOSers I probably walked past.

Oh and ANU open day also had liquid nitrogen icecream :p

I went there today =)
Great university, I really liked it. Especially the library.
Was painful to find parking for my car though.
There's your problem.

why park? just take public transport.

Best open day ever!!! Kinda bummed i couldn't find entrance to the library :'(
That's like... super easy to find though. You must've read your map wrong.

With most universities, parking is tends to be rather difficult so avoid if possible.

I live nearby too. But meh, don't worry too much about transport. I know people who live in Castle Hill and they manage to get there well enough. (Y)

The time required to go to USYD ain't much shorter than getting to UNSW.

Buy an ipad/tablet or Ultrabook with Telstra 4G Mobile Broadband and just have your chill time on that or you could watch a movie or 4 TV shows a trip. Or ask a friendly stranger if you can sleep on them, good way of making friends :D

Plus you might only have uni only twice a week

Really depends on your electives you choose and luck I guess. Most of my friends only go Uni twice a week

Plus if I end up in UNSW I'll be there all 5 days because the library was amazing plus there are really good beach only 20 min away, So I'll mostly likely be spending most of my time thereafter, since I live in the western subs

I remember one of the trivia questions in blitz magazine about the library: "Can you get condoms and tampons from the UNSW Library?"

Didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped to. The weather was atrocious :(

Spent forever parking and even though USYD is bigger I found it harder to find my way around campus - probably because USYD has street names and the like.

The UMAT seminar was absolutely terrible lol. Everyone was falling asleep.

The food was considerably better than USYD (FREE FOOD YAY) but overall USYD > UNSW for me.

Well, can't blame the weather. Not like we can control that.

That said, parking at UNSW? lol. there's the mistake.

And once you're a student, you just learn the buildings in relation to others or the Main Walkway. Actually quite easy to traverse, imo.
