Using the GPA system correlation table from these forums (there's a pdf floating around somewhere)

Your marks;

1d, 4crs, 3ps
(6+5+5+5+5+4+4+4)/8=gpa
=4.75
4.75-->88

88+91.05=179.05
179.05/2=89.525

your NRSL 89.525

Assumptions taken: you complete 1 year of uni, but less than 3 years of uni.
(note: this gpa is different to the internal MACQ gpa)

i didnt even complete a full year of uni studies
i only did 1 semester
and uts still accepted me
and i thought they need u to have at least 1 full year (8 subjects) done to consider uni marks otherwise they just look at your uai onl.. and da cut off was higher than my uai hence they DID look at my uni marks LOL and only 1 sem worth (4 subs)
so its kinda wierd
wat they officially say in their websites and stuff is differfent from wat happens in real life
:p :p :p

if u apply thru UAC to transfer between universities after 1 semester of university, although only UAI [HSC acamedic merit] is measured, can u also include stuff such as work experience? Does this improve ure ranking?

No.
However some uni's have additional criteria, like UTS with their personal statements.

from unsw admissions today minai

(assume here, you have completed at least 1 year FTE)
Transferring to commerce;
they take the mark that is the highest, so either your secondary or teritary marks

Transferring to law;
50/50 UAI/GPA

Well that's from the head of the Admissions at UNSW anyhow. The marks from GPA turn into a mark, etc. the same as above (for the conversion part). You then get ranked against everyone else, as usual.

E.g. get 6.5 GPA, hello BCom, etc.

so then i just have one question.
i got a really bad uai this year, and i got into a science course, so now if i wanted to switch to another science course does that mean that chances are i probably wouldn't get in because my UAI sucked? so this means that there's no possibility of me ever being able to get into what i wanna do because my UAI sux? This is so distressing it's gonna haunt me forever.

depend what uai range you got in, what course you got in and what course you planning to get in and last of all what marks would you get in uni.

Pt is when you do 2 or less, and FT is when you do 3 or more, so you are doing a FT load.
