Hello

I want to ask for a prediction of my HSC UAI

I go to Sydney Grammar school and am in year 11

English 2U 68/180
English 3U 24/108
Physics 28/100
Chemistry 29/101
Maths 3U 20/120
Economics 3/102

Total rank 24/183 (scaled marks)

Last year our school got 35 people above 99 UAI so I'm hoping if i can reach ~10th-15th by studying i can get a 99.5 UAI

Is it possible??

Well, if 35 people from your school achieved a 99+ UAI, and you're ranked 24th in your current year; then it probably IS possible.

Here's a bit of advice though; don't start neglecting your study, even if you think it's possible. Most people tend to have this relaxation-reflex; once they believe that they can achieve high marks, they become careless with their studies. DON'T let that happen to you!

And another tip: Watch out for the silent achievers. These are the 5-10 kids that you don't expect will do well, but end up achieving 99+ UAIs. You might have to factor that into your internal rankings goal also.
