there are maybe like 20% similar. comp engo is more related to engo (doing more maths, elec and all that) where as cs is more code and programming (as I am finding out now)
So, to put it really simply, comp engo teaches you about the hardware component of computers while cs teaches you about the software?

umm sort of ish? comp engo (5 yrs) is more specific in terms of courses where you must do X Y Z subjects in order to get the degree and those subjects include higher levels of maths, physics and some other stuff. Comp sci (3 years) is very flexible they're are only a few courses you must do (the basics, some maths, etc) and then you can go as diverse or as specific as you want.

Also consider a single degree eng + postgrad MBA over eng/comm

They're about the same length total (5.5 to 6 years I believe?) and there's always the flexibility of just leaving once you finish 4th year.

Of course an MBA is much more competitive than just a commerce degree, but yknow, it's always an option.
