Well that's what its all about really.. Unless you want to be another useless academic, the goal of uni is to grow as a person and receive a job offer on graduation.
If your a socially awkward muppet who spent their whole lives in the library in order to achieve HD wam studying theory that may or (more likely) may not be applicable to any practical sense, then you're gunna get cained in an interview against the 70 avg all rounder.

Obviously though its better to be a HD allrounder though

To be fair while some Distinction people I know are hermits. All HD people I know have freed the slaves on numerous occasions and are in 500 societies. The really smart ones get good marks and know how to act. Bloody machines...
