hey im writing my conclusion and there is a format i have been given.

the question asked how effective were your research tools? what are research tools? are they just my methodologies that i chose?

Definitely your research methodologies and just how effective/useful they were to your research as well as any limitations (ie bias, word and time constraints) you faced. Basically, they want you to provide a brief analysis of the strengths/weaknesses of the methodologies (from the core topic) in relation to your research
