the whole spacing thing is all to do with psychology

because some students are claustrophobic and may feel more stressed or less at ease when doing the exams. Hence, to conquere that, the BOS sets the paper in a far more spaced out fashion than your school papers.

argh! yes! Im like that! I did an economics assessment and the lines were all kept tightly together, even more tightly than a regular excerise book. It freaked me out cos it looked like I had 4000 lines to fill :(
