how much outa 50 wuld get u a band 6

90% of 50 is 45.

45+ = Band 6.

I forgot how SC works but raw mark wise...you need 45 or over to get a band 6.

um i think cem explained earlier in another thread you dont get 50 marks for writing your name. It is unlikely anyone gets below 50 after allignment.

Results are back on December 11th but your principal gets it on the 8th via internet

i hope they align marks..........how come they never officially tell us what they do with our marks! its like that in hsc but is it really like that in sc? my sis did it last year and she reckons what you get is what you get. so if you get 93/100 in science you get 93. if you get 40/50 in geo you get 80. i think shes wrong though.

is she?...lol.....that way i can say i told you so.

A mark somewhere in the 80%+ range can just about assure you a band 6 (90+) due to the moderation process (but this cut off does change from exam to exam).

How can you write your name and get 50%, these days SC, they write your name out for you. (just incase i suppose)

i thnk its just kinda a saying to signify the ease of the tests. but alignment can also describe this theory. google image the "bell curve". think of band 6 at one end and band 2 at the other. therefor, everyone has to fit in it. perhaps?

only 1-2% of the state fails, those guys who write their name and walk out probly, if you attempt and get everything wrong you get a pass, i think thats how it works.
