Personality (duh) - i.e. likes to joke around, can humour me, and can stand the insane antics i end up with (not many people can stand a simple crush turning into hardcore sex including whips, leather, payment and goats and not get pissed, lol).

Intelligence - if you cant hold a decent conversation, dont come knocking. This includes having an opinion actually formulated by yourself, and not the newsman, your parents, or any other influential figure whose probably full of bullshit.

Women seem to like to talk. Men seem to prefer to do stuff, and i don't mean just sex.

Not that conversation isn't good; what's a good relationship without good communication? But I think we all need to learn when to shut up, read the signs, and react in a positive manner. Talk is cheap; silence is golden.

Of course, the girl gotta have some good looks. I prefer the "cute" factor over the "beautiful" factor; "beautiful", to me, just seems loosely synonymous with "seductress"... "slutty". Most men choose to be the nurturing type, rather than have a partner with a competitively dominating personality. Of course, some men like a challenge

And for the physical side, we need to learn to do things together. Share the housework, help eachother with homework, go to the movies, have a quiet game of chess/go with eachother, maybe even just reading next to eachother. Hell, people are taking it so far as to chat with laptops rather than having verbal conversation. I'm in two minds about that extreme, though.

And, of course, there's the sex. I will endeavour to bring pleasure to my partner, and my partner should also hold some concern for my pleasure. Sex, after all, should be a mutually satisfying experience. Selfishness can just ruin everything.

And then there are the other small things, like bad habits, that need to be taken into account. I will not go for a girl who smokes, drinks, gambles, screws around, shops till she drops, blabs her ass off, spends more time on makeup than work... hmm, that's a pretty long list, i guess they aren't such small things after all.

Anyway, you get the idea. Maybe I'll have more than one partner. But I'd at least want them to be good relationships. And when i do find the love of my life, I'd work (with my partner) to ensure that it becomes a lasting relationship.
