hi, im in the last stages of completing my website, But i was wondering does anyone know how to get a: search engine, a forum(like this one) and maybe a login (member) system...can you like download programs for these things or do you have to build it up urself?

any help will be appreciated

How do you mean search engine? Like an embedded third party one ie google?

keep in mind that vbulletin isn't free. for alternatives to that there's phpbb, smf, xmb, ipb >1 (not 2), and so forth.
also, you'll need to have php support on your server else you might be better off using a hosted service like invisionfree.com or..ew. proboards if you must.

as for a login system, you could try a portal instead. eg. php-nuke though that's somewhat insecure(perhaps not in newer version) but popular, mambo/joomla [joomla is pretty good...], xoops and then use a mod/hack to link the forum with the portal.

At the same time, you might just be able to use the database with the forum like bos does.

of course, if you can follow directions (which are pretty damn clear), you'll probably be able 'install' them.

hmm you'll probably need mysql too at any rate for databases.

unless you use asp, in which you have access databases but.. are there really all that many things that aren't corporate?
