Ok i am not a crackpot so i dont know how much this has been touched on before,

but

doesnt welfare cause lowering of intelligence within a community?

because people who are too dumb (i realise unintelligence is not the onyl reason for unemployment etc) are given the ability to reproduce (hence passing on their stupid genes), that without welfare, they would probably be unable to afford to do?

Not to the same extent. The subsidies people receive for having kids are pretty massive.

Poor people tend to be stupid and get knocked up, but I think a lot more would have abortions if they knew they would have to pay the full cost of raising their little bastards out of their booze and pokies money.

no the government shouldn't be doing anything. this includes giving out welfare. The difference between a thief and government is that government says its in your best interest, the nations interest AND can put YOU in jail. XD

However - who says that intelligence is the #1 trait?

*We need dumb people to do shitty/stagnant jobs in order that intelligent people can hold management positions and be paid $$$

*If everyone was of maximum intelligence, no-one would consent to any hierarchical structure - and people would simply refuse to be bossed around (because they would KNOW that their boss was not any smarter than them) = productivity decrease

*Intelligent people are often unattractive... Im for a hot human race who maximise their physical potential as well
