Without being a big fan of Muse nor having listened to this album, but simply based on the responses by the people on this thread, I speculate they were thinking "Let's do something different"

but i forgive them because matt bellamy can occasionally look like a fox. in other cases he really does look like a fox

I don't care if I get blasted for this... but Muse's latest album... well... it sucked. What happened to the rock? I wasn't surprised, however, by the sound of the new album. You could hear it coming on Black Holes. The Rock-to-Pop ratio has swung waaay to hard to the right, anyone agree?

Here's how I see their albums... feedback plz...

Absolution = Origin of Symmetry > Showbiz > Black Holes & Revelations > The Resistance

I'm going to say that Undisclosed Desires was the best on the album...

Progression? Change? It's good sometimes I guess. But Unnatural Selection uses the EXACT same guitar riff from New Born. Amazing progression (no pun intended) that is, isn't it?

Anyway, I have been harsh. It's not all bad. They remain an awesome band.

Unnatural Selection is the best on this album. Though that isn't saying much, as it's pretty bad compared to most of Absolution.

Undisclosed Desires is so addictive. And the film clip..Matt Bellamy is so sexy in it. I know I have said that I want to marry a lot of people, but really, I would marry Matt Bellamy today if I could. His voice is amazing! I heard somewhere that he won best guitarist for the decade??

Personally I like the newer albums, a lot more variety and experimentation. It took me a while to come around to it though, really hated BH&R when it first came out, but lets face it Showbiz to Absolution could've been one really long album, there wasn't really much variation there.

BH+R last?? That would be second favourite for me. Favourite being Showbiz. Showbiz has my favourite ever Muse song on it, Escape.
