I'm a guy and my preferences would be not older than me at all and maximum 5 years younger.

So you wouldn't consider touching a 19 year old but 13 is OK? That's just wrong.

Personally I'd go 2 years either way.

i think that has more to do with standings in the community like teacher/student - it becomes awkward when u have someone who is trusted to protect the someone they are having the relationship with!

hmm..well I'm 19..and for a relationship (as opposed to meaningless one night sex) I don't think I could be with anyone younger than 18 (I would prefer him to be at least 20/21 though!) or older than 25

I'm 16 and the oldest i would date is 20. I wouldn't really date anyone younger than me, I know someone who dated two years younger and that was always quite weird. Then again a 17 yr old friend is dating a 23 yr old and that too is quite weird.

Think of it this way couldnt it be awkward for a 20 yr old to date a 16 yr old

age is weird depending on the persons status (like someone said, them being a teacher or other authority figure), and how mature both people are.
im almost 18, and unless i found an extremely mature 17/18 year old, i wouldnt consider dating them. my boyfriend is almost 20 and thats cool because he is pretty mature for his age. but then again, im attracted to older men (not way way old with wrinkles and grankids!) because of the maturity level, i wouldnt date anyone over the age of....dunno 26 i guess. older men are so attractive..

Yeah, probably, it a deterrant to most ppl, i can sometimes deter me, if all im after is a root, sometimes not, all so depends on what type of relationship im looking for at the time

for me minus 2 years isnt that bad, it really depends on your age though, ie. 14 and 16 is a little iffy, but 15/17 is not that bad, funny how 16/18 seems a little dodgy, but as soon as the girl is past 16 or over, 2 years older bf isnt so bad, ie. 17/19
