That would be great I've known a couple of great major forums that have IRC chat implemented and it actually worked out great.

It's integrated within the website but on a seperate page designated as Chat usually a third party IRC chat software with HTML5 not Flash for example Addonchat:https://www.addonchat.com

I think its been done here at some point I believe, but it just results in less posts in the forum and nothing is kept for posterity which all kind of defeats the purpose of a forum.

I would really like to be able to HIDE topics/threads.

And actually fully hidden, not "this thread 'x thread' is hidden click to view" but just out of sight and out of mind.

yeh. when i'm answering an 8 marker in depth on the marathon threads it gets annoying sometimes when it takes me a while and I get logged out.
