There's no need to worry about memorising your essays so early, a couple of days before the exam is all you need. You should be using this time to practice MOULDING your essay to past questions (the Tutor Tales blog is excellent for this, definitely check her compilation of past trial questions asap if you haven't done so already). Make sure you actually do write a full essay on the spot under timed conditions.

Your memorised essay is 100% useless if you can't answer the question. Memorising is the easy part, being able to adapt your prepared essay to the question on the spot so that the marker cannot tell that you've memorised is absolutely more crucial.

It depends on how strong your essays are and whether further refinement is needed, but in general, you need to focus more time on adapting your essays to different essay questions first before just memorising it... at the end of the day, you have to make sure you answer ONLY the essay question as specifically as possible to get the best marks.
