There has been speculations that Chelsea, Barcelona, AC Milan, Newcastle and Liverpool are after Lucas Neill's signature.

So where will he end up?

Blackburn want to keep him, but it turns out he rejected an offer to re-sign.

I honestly don't know. I'd like to see him somewhere a bit classier than Blackburn, but not at somewhere like Barca where (be honest) he would never get a run. A mid-level club would better suit him.

I think Liverpool is best suited for Neill. He should stick to the EPL.

Cahill is a lot better.
A lot better in what way? They play in two completely different positions. I don't think you can compare the two.

I think Lucas Neill should ditch football and take up modelling, or just posing nude somewhere in my house. He is one fine-looking chap.

And that was my air-headed comment for the day.

I read the other day that Aston Villa could be a possibility?

I'd like to see him play in Italy, if he went to Barca he'd just be on the bench because I doubt he be a first 11 player.

i can't believe you said that! it was the dive from the cheating italians that cost australia the match. neil was a hero and one of our best players in the tournament.

It's rare that defenders are nominated. It's usually the midfielders or strikers that are spotted. The only defenders that have been nominated (other than Cannavaro) as FIFA player of the year was Roberto Carlos and Maldini - both were runners up and never won. So i'm sorry, you can't use that against him.
No one is doubting Cahill's talents - i'm just pointing out that they both have different skills that compliment eachother.

how old is neil and how old is cahill?
Pretty much the same age. What's that got to do with anything?

has neill scored any goals?
Not as many as Cahill, obviously. Why? Because - and I say this s l o w l y - Cahill is a midfielder and Neill is a defender.
Does that automatically make someone a great player though? Based on the amount of goals scored?

He won't move. HE's not good enough to go to any of the bigger clubs. And if he did sell himself out to them, he would never get a game. He's not as good as most people think.
