yep yep dats it!!.. u go girl!natstar said:My borther has this same attitude. Its not a bad attitude to have, becuase the HSC is not the mean to an end that everyone thinks it is. I know a lot of people that have become more successful not going to uni than people who have. Uni just gives you an education, its how you use that education which gets you a job.
The HSC doesent prove how smart you are, so just becuase you do bad does not mean you are dumb.
xactly...if u stuff it up do it agian..its not big deal...look at ur mistakes...wat u did wrong...how u did it...wat u didnt study...its only 1 year....better then goin thru life when ur older finking u should of done it......and u gotta fink, if u wanna get ur targert uai u gotta take into consideration what u need...the momentum of it...its like throughing a ball...u need alot of ur strength to make it fly over a long distance....same with de hsc....if u study n do as much as u can ur output will be just like de ball flyin.fantasia said:true the hsc isnt the be all and end all. but you have to ask yourself why you dont care about the hsc. Is it because you've got plans for tafe/work etc? Or is it because you just gave up?
i mean if you've got the attitude to always quit at everything you start.. you'll get nowhere in life. whether its with education, or work or whatever.
So yeh i'd still give the hsc a reasonable attempt even if i've got plans to go to tafe or something. At least that way, you can look back and say "hey, i can be proud of myself for at least trying". I mean you've gotten this far, why not just finish off what you've started. I'd be a happier person getting a mark of 50 in the hsc and trying to some degree, rather than getting 50 through doing nothing.
one of my friends who flunked the hsc is doing it again this year, not because he wants to get into uni desperately or whatever. But he knows that he didnt put in the effort and achieved the results that he could have got.
sarsh said:hah ... sweeping generalisations you made. you say that chicks from tafe are "skanks", and from your hint of sarcasm "best of luck to them" its kind of ironic that you can criticise them when you havent looked at yourself properly. i mean, you say that your not stress that you wont get into uni and ull go into uni as a mature age student of 21, but how about the time between. the tafe students try really hard during that time between and alot of them get themselves into uni with credibility. plus uni does not guarantee that you are a success. the uai of subjects are determined because of their demand. which doesnt necessarily means its better and its better paying in future. look at the 2005 uai good universities guide.
some people, like you from what i hear sound like rich snobby north shore kids that can pay their way into uni. However, for others they have to stress about there future prospects.
labelling chicks that go to tafe as "skanks" arent very nice. your other sweeping generalisation for there "alternative approach instead of year 9", again is statistics pulled from your ass.
there are many renowned people that didnt even finish high school and dropped out in year 10. maybe for you tafe is too "low" for your standards, but if you actually researched your shit, you would know the different with tafe and uni is that they take a more pratical approach to study. then again, i shouldn't justify tafe to you, since your pockets must be overflowing with money with your kinda attitude.

People start getting shit marks, and pass it off as them "not caring" yet, if you guys were continually hitting 17/20 for english, I think you'd be singing a different tune.
Seems only deadshits don't care.
yep... or did. four exams left. how depressing - i don't feel confident about any of them any more. there is just so much stuff to know and everyone else is working so hard at learning it all.sikeveo said:wtf u do 16 units!!!?!?!?!?!??!!
