goto all!
thats what I did, wellz...only Sydney and UNSW. Thankfully I changed from Sydney to UNSW in order of preferences after asking a few questions. It really is helpful, albeit last minute

i did an extra yeare in TAFE (much better than repeating in a high school) cause u can pick 2 or 3 subjects and ace them which adds on to the BEST ones u did last year and calculates your uai using the best 10 units....

even though i didnt do much better this year (onli cause i didint study (again)), i recommend it over high school....
if i decide to repeat, i want to repeat (year 12) in TAFE. main reason why is because my high school fees are too much for me to pay again.

You and me both!

I hate catholic schools, (as much as i love them :p) -- selective and public schools performed so much better, we catholic schoolers have been brainwashed - seriously, we didn't get a good UAI, and we go to a "better" school (or so I'm led to believe).

Brainwashed... I hate being brainwashed.

LOL thats true... it's money wasted.

I dont know about your school going down, but I haven't heard any good news out of it (although I only really talk to you and a few others, if I'm given the chance).

Here's a thought: In a few months, you won't care about your UAI. :)

its not money wasted.... i go to a catholic school and we had a hell of a lot of people doing better than people in selective or private schools... selective being for the 'brightest and smartest' and private being so fucking expensive hence people assume that they do better...
i truly believe that it is more the individual than the school... you can go to the most fucked up school around yet still achieve a brilliant result

I am not happy with my UAI either but to hell with the hsc year. As much as I hate my UAI, I am definately not repeating the horrible HSC year again! *shudder* I hate the HSC year. I would rather go to TAFE & get in to Uni that way.

Its no big deal that i got a low uai cos i dont plan on going to uni...
its just that it is much lower than i was have expected... i got a band 4 ,3,3,3,and a 2 and ive used the calculators for 2002,2001 and they all give the score of atleast high 50 to 60. Have they just become more strict or what?
