I am. I'm using cases (not so recent) such as the Balkans Conflict, Iraq conflict and Libya conflict...

Question: do you think two cases in detail would be enough for a WO essay?

Yes I think so. One in extreme detail wouldn't demonstrate the contrast required, but more than 2 would lead to less in-depth analysis.

As for me I'm using issues like Terrorism and the role of the ICC in achieving world order.

I have tonnes of domestic and international legislation, a few cases, a few media reports. I might have to research for some more cases though.

you don't have to do them. You can choose your own issues. But your issues have to link with these categories:

"responsibility to protect"
"regional and global situations that threaten peace and security"
"success of global cooperations in achieving world order"
"rules regarding the conduct of hostilities: international humanitarian law"

They can link in many different ways. some issues can link to only one of those dot points. but that's fine.
