i'm not italian...i'm just your regular old aussie. and college isn't that exspensive when you take in food, linen, transport, tutoring, social evenets etc. Its great!

Politics & IR

Hey,

I finished a politics major at UNSW last year, and it's definitely worth doing. Aside from being interesting for its own sake, the ideas i learned in some classes have been useful in lots of other subjects -- History, English lit, etc etc. Plus some of my best teachers have been from the school of politics.

And, for the record, plenty of women ARE interested in politics. They just happen to be the type who don't like being called "chicks", and who aren't turned on by dopey racist signatures.... :-S

Er, yes. "Attention seeking hoes" like me.

So anyway, a few of us "chicks" are trying to decide whether it's better being a student now, or back in the '50s. On the one hand, "attention seeking hoes" had it pretty tough back then. A few reactionaries still called all female speech "attention seeking", while men could be as loud and obnoxious (oops, I mean articulate and assertive...) as they liked. On the other hand, if we got to go to uni at all, at least we didn't have to share it with ill-mannered, sub-literate, hansonite types like your good selves. Your lot weren't allowed in either. In the olden days, at least the sexist rednecks could write.

So there. Ten bucks says you're a virgin 'til graduation.
