Hello, I am currently in year 11 and have just been notified that I am apparently in "serious danger" of receiving an n award for hospitality. I have hardly completed any work whatsoever in the class, and haven't worried too much in general about failing this course as I intend to drop it in year 12, leaving me still with the 10 units required for the HSC. Also, I have missed two recent practical assessments due to sickness, and my teacher apparently doesn't intend to allow me to retake them.
However, I have recently been told that if I do happen to fail the subject, I'll need to re-take it next year in order to pass year 11! I certainly hope that this is not the case as the course is utterly mundane, and I only took it due to a lack of any other decent subjects on its line.
I receive good marks in most of my other subjects and currently am not at any risk of failing any other subjects.
So, is this true? If I fail this subject yet pass all my others, will I still need to repeat year 11 ??
