lol this winter's fashion is fairly awesome
i really really really really really etc want a winter hat. specifically like a red or black velvet beret. i had one and i wore it literally to death last year, so i need a new one. i am very much a hat person :uhhuh: ...so not having one irritates me lol... lacking in the money department though. sigh.

The school-girl inspired pinafores, the high waisted skirts, the fitted nature of the clothes. basically all the good stuff.

I think it looks so much more classy and sophisticated than the flowiness of the bohemian peasant stuff of a couple of years ago.
I love wearing high waisted skirts (but only to formal parties) <3 <3

:shy:

I absolutely HATE high waisted jeans though. it looks gross on people :k

edit: interesting article...

i really love the clothes instore this winter, too. it also annoys me though because it means that heaps of people are stealing my long-time favourite 60's style: all the shift dresses and smocks and capes and hats and such. :(
cue has so many things i want but their sizing is fucked so much... their size 6's are more like 10's! boo. country road is like that too. *hate*

i really want some highwaisted light denim flared jeans. really 70's looking ones, like something out of charlie's angels.

I think it's a veeeeeeery fine line. I've noticed that really thin girls can end up looking decidedly praying mantis like (or, strangely, pregnant). Srsly. They're a nice idea, but only some people can work them.

I'm not sure if I'm into the 60s at this point. It just isn't me...

I really like these shirt dresses and general layering though.
