but then i'd have to go to a third person...

it just ruins the whole dynamic

Plus, when I watched Harry Potter with friends we had no popcorn system going on... and umm, we didn't do popcorn buddies and I had to go popcorn-less because it was awkward stopping people from watching the movie to get their popcorn


Alternatively, there can be popcorn solos where everyone gets their own popcorn but... yeah.

Also Eurovision is gr8
