I need some help for an assessment coming up, the question will be based around evaluating Xerxes after the greek wars.

My class has gotten a bit behind here so im not very confident on this topic.
Any ideas on how i could approach this essay?

Also, anyone know of any relevant modern writers apart from Olmstead?

Thanks a bunch :)

My studies of Xerxes after the Greek Wars revolve around how the archaeological evidence blatantly contradicts what Greek Writers would have us believe that after Plataea the Persians were a crushed empire.

His building program in Persepolis, religious reforms, as well as the harem intrigues which resulted in his assassination come to mind.
