year 11 counting to atar/hsc course (1 Viewer)

okay so I've been hearing people (a lot of people) saying that year 11 will count towards the atar/hsc course from 2015 onwards. I am not sure if it counts towards atar or just the hsc rosa but I am adamant that it will count towards something significant in year 12 cause my principal was saying something like this in a year meeting but I had to leave early.

off topic: is it better to be top 10 in standard english or average (65%-80% student)in advanced english ? im on reserve for advanced but theres a whole tonne of people going for advanced

I assume its 25% for yr 11, 25% for yr 12 and 50% for hsc final exams? omg I hate this... yr 11 is suppose to be prep so I can change my study habits and whatnot ._.

Year 11 counts for a whopping 0% of your ATAR or HSC.

Year 11 marks do not mean anything for your HSC marks at all. There is absolutely no correlation.


However, some of the knowledge you have learnt in year 11 can and will affect your year 12 performance at some point. So some content may be necessary for you to know from year 11. For some subjects, it might be much more relevance than others. Really depends on the subject and its nature of content.
