Well, finally finished it. (Essay on Area of Study - Power).

Anybody keen on marking it? (trust me it's pretty terrible, I need all the help I can get)

:(. What happened?
Lets just say that i didn't even know the first question LOL

I skipped a total of 13 marks out of the 70+ marks so thats alright. I might've gotten some multiple choice wrong so i might've lost no more than 20 marks hehe. Other people said that they didn't even do the last two pages so at least that reassures me haha. I know i lost two marks because i wrote an answer, i crossed it out because it "looked" wrong but it turns out that it was right fml :(

- Mind blanks - wasted like up to 20 or so seconds with silence
- Got the question I was least prepared for
- Didn't even get to the conclusion of my speech

yep, here comes a C. (hoping for a B *prays*)

Don't worry - use this as a lesson for next year.

It's unfortunate that your school sets this type of task, but this simply means that you need to know your text inside out.

After all, Year 11 is a learning curve and you get a clean slate next year.

What type of task is it though?

Basically, they tell you that you'll be asked one of any 4 questions stated on the assessment task sheet:

You go in the room, you select a face down card and that'll be your question you have to answer for your speech. (which will be about your text)

No palm cards (to stop tutors from writing people's speeches). No warning bells. 3 minutes.

Go.

I think it's a speech task where you don't get the exact question beforehand.

They give you a pool of questions and on the day, they select one for you.

Then you speak about it for 3 minutes without palm cards (showing your supposed knowledge of the text due to the lack of palm cards + the decreased possibility of memorising speeches because there are something like 5 questions they can give you).

Not a bad idea to be honest.
