I obviously have a preference of fantasy, and seem to only buy books in other genres that I know are popular or that I have heard good things about.

My Dad takes up too much of bookshelf room for me to get any space. And that's saying a lot since two walls of our study is covered with shelves. And it's mostly related to his work as well, which is terribly boring! chemistry and things like that. I've amused myself by reading some of his Masters and PhD student's thesis, I know too much about agriculture grrr
I just realised how much non book stuff I have on my shelves! I found nail polish! sparkly pink nail polish! I rule.

I've been reading Discworld and downloading some stuff as well...but in general no time for novels any more - I usually read the papers and so on.

I don't own many books as such, I tend to borrow a lot from my Dad (his collection being mostly Clancy, Ludlum, Grisham etc), and the local library.

I'm like withoutaface, I don't own many books personally, but I do borrow a bit from the library, read online and my dad (but that is alot of nonfiction books) who has about two decent size bookshelfs filled (possibly more, since it is one floor to roof, decent width bookself and a smaller one and a few cabinets around filled with them).
