"Alcohol has never touched my lips."

"This is polymoxin B sulfate, I can only obtain it legally from the doctor via a
prescription ... this is the only foreign substance I will allow in my body."

"I'm sick and tired of people who say they will quit smoking, only to smoke again
the next day ... polluting their lungs with thousands of chemicals."

"Strong people can quit easily, but stronger people never smoke in the first place."

"Just ... say ... NO to all the temptations."

i.e.

No alcohol
No smoking
No illegal drugs

Never drank Alcohol, never smoked (passive smoking from dad though) and never touched drugs (and i dont plan to either)

i don't understand why people put themselves on a moral pedestal just because they don't drink/smoke or do drugs.

um considering my group of friends at uni, im pretty much a full time passive smoker.
I may actually try a cigarette one day...just to see what its like...

Casual sex is also prohibited when living a straight-edge lifestyle.

I was edge until some time last year.

Now:
- I drink on a regular basis and always end up smashed
- I've only had casual sex, and never had sex in a relationship
- I plan to try weed, at least
- I plan to try smoking.

was also christian and vegan, lol.

gave up purely for experiences ('cept now I'm pescartarian (sp?), no land animals or birds but I do eat some seafood + eggs, some dairy.)
no regrets.

I drink, very rarely, but only a couple standard drinks...and that's pretty much it. Mildest wild child ever.

it's really not that hard to live a straight edged life.

im more 'straight' than i used to be and could quite easily live without alcohol. but everything in moderation

I don't drink massively. Pretty sure I could be straight-edge without too much difficulty.

Social Influences are the cause for all these issues, I personally plan never to smoke any substance, only drink on the rare occasion, have intercourse in a substancial relationship and by relegion, I am a vegitarian, but i strongly believe in it for its moral values.
