I don't understand why you care about the hotness ratio, doubt most of you will get the hot people in any course lol Just go to uni and do some learning.

It's actually a very important consideration when choosing a career path.

I must be a lucky person then. I actually have made a few female friends in uni (in a course basically equiv to engineering).

I've become good friends with one of them.

You guys should seriously stop trying. It's not like you'll say hi anyway...

The funny thing is that I'm not really the social type (I think) but yet every female friend that I've made at uni have talked to me first.

If you're a nice and decent person then girls will talk to you first. But on the other hand if you're just out there looking desperate then I'd doubt that you'd get any attention.

DO NOT FEAR! SHADOWDUDE IS HERE... with the Good Universities Guide 2011 which has the stats.

Now unfortunately, I don't know about the hotness of women in the courses - but I can state definitively the percentage of women in each subject area Australia-wide.

Here we go, ranked from highest number of women to lowest number (percentage-wise):

87% - Nursing
86% - Social Work
77% - Education & Training, Psychology, Veterinary Science
73% - Rehabilitation
71% - Health Services & Support
69% - Human & Social Sciences
68% - Tourism & Hospitality
66% - Communications
65% - Languages
63% - Pharmacy
60% - Creative Arts, Dentistry, Law
55% - Medicine
54% - Sciences
53% - Accounting, Agriculture, Paralegal Studies
50% - Business & Management
49% - Environmental Studies
46% - Sport & Leisure
44% - Architecture
38% - Built Environment
37% - Economics
33% - Mathematics
18% - Computing & IT
16% - Surveying
15% - Engineering & Technology

Good Uni Guide to the rescue again!
