if anyone knows how to find the range without calculus please tell me

For this particular question, it requires calculus. In other questions it may not.

Set up a table of values and do some test values (for X = -3 to 3 say).

lol , what are you, in preschool , geez no wonder you so crap at uni maths , any engineering student should be able to look at that question and do it in about 30seconds flat , no table of values and no calculus AT ALL, you dont even need calculus to find the range. lolz at the noobery happening here

To the OP: If this was for homework, maybe you could try some software like Geogebra and plug the equation in. Then, from the graph, you can read the range and domain off.

Don't worry about trying to reason with rand1. He is evidently an irrational individual who has nothing better to do than to overuse his favourite word 'noob', hence any attempt to logically reason with him will not sink in since he has this irrational fear of admitting his mistakes. but when did I say I wanted to be reasoned with, I merely stated that I couldnt be bothered helping . Also, you mods just ban my accounts immediately anyway, ever since like feb you guys have just banned my accounts permenantly ( even when I posted stuff in the contact mods section about absolutezero being an asshole to me you still didnt do anything, absolutezero just banned that account) , its not like theres any incentive for me to help , I never got any expressions of interest in tutoring when I did help on here and I didnt even get any reputation on here ( once in every blue moon I might get some positive rep from someone when I answered a question, but it did absolutely nothing because all the people giving me positive rep had no rep themselves, so I got zero rep points anyway, and then after that I would just get some asshole mod with lots of rep that would give me negative rep and take away any little points I had actually got and put me into negative reputation lol )

what would have been the point to help and then get banned less than an hour later

What would have been the point of making an account in the first place when you're not going to help and going to get banned anyway?

Hence, my statement of irrational behaviour. The point I made was that any attempt by me or someone else to reason with you does not do anything because you're not open minded enough to take it in. If you were a rational individual, you would have not bothered making an account since you were not bothered helping and you knew if you tried you would get banned anyway. Coming back to this site (which you hate so much) does not give you any benefits especially given that you hate the sight of people asking questions on this forum (as you have repeatedly reiterated), so the rational thing to do would be to avoid it altogether not expose yourself to the very thing you dislike...lol

Also, the decision to have you banned was for a very good reason. You were directly insulting many members on this site and hijacking threads. There were also formal complaints about incidences of cyber bullying and harrassment (whether they did happen or not is beside the point). We have given you multiple chances and on each occasion you blew it. You're not much better than you were before anyway saying everyone asking questions will fail etc. If you were asking questions to a professor in one of your uni courses, would you want him to say that your question was so easy/silly to him that it qualifies you as a 'noob' and hence you are doomed to fail? This situation is no different to that of a HSC student asking questions.

Anyways, I shouldn't even be trying to reason with you again since you refuse to see things from a rational perspective...

theres a pretty big difference , the professor gets paid to do what they do ( and get paid pretty bloody well too ).

and yes it is different because theses dumb kids completely ignored me, so I should be allowed to well ignore them (except off course I must state that if they werent jerks I would have helped , so then they feel bad etc..)

ok so this is the last question in my homework which i cant seem to sketch and hence cant find the domain and range. the curve is y=X^2(X^2-4) THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED ME.

well x^2(x^2-4) = (x)(x)(x+2)(x-2)

as x=0 is a factor twice, it means that the curve bounces at this value.

You can also deduce the way the curve 'flows' from testing a point such as x=3. Clearly y is positive for this.

Therefore, the graph must come down from x=3 to be an x-intercept at x=2,

then it must go down below the x-axis and then up again to be a zero at x=0 where it subsequently bounces back below the x-axis and then curves back upwards to cross the x-axis at x=-2.

from sketching the graph thus, it should be easy to deduce the domain and range.
