Oh, I thought you were questioning me as to why 89/105 was a Band 6.

A cut off, in my (not very learned) opinion, is low 80s. 83 in an easy year, but could be as low as a 78 in a difficult year (rare).

Aim for 85 if you want to get Band 6 100%.

No, I was referring just to the externals. Obviously, if you get like 65 aligned, then you've got no shot of a Band 6.

This has been asked in the English forums. I believe we said around 70 raw.

if you got a raw mark of 85, then you would be able to scrape 90 in the externals, however, your rank would probably give you a low band 5 for internal. So perhaps you'd have to work to get mid 90s in order to get close to a band 6.
