Which is what exactly? Jesus said the rich should give to the poor. Socialists say the rich should give to the poor. Socialist governments say the rich should give to the poor, and they have power so therefore they enforce it. The only difference is enforcement of this ideology.

You are right, except that there's no "fear of Christianity", except the fear of losing votes from the Christian mass. There is an irrational fear of Islam because of 9/11 and that other one, and so the influence of Islam is due to a fear of violence and terrorism. So...maybe if we didn't have so much contempt for Islam then we wouldn't be so scared and we wouldn't submit to their "influence". Maybe.

We now have to spend billions if not trillions worldwide on additional security, including lost productivity.

Right. Rich people should sell their businesses and capital resources - this will accomplish what exactly? Poor people are drunks, gamblers and drug addicts. They will burn through this money instead of investing it for a secure future.

Wealth distribution also probably helps the lower classes breed, which is obviously bad for society.

Tolerance was merely an illustration of the facade I was describing.
Of course not all leftists have these ulterior motives: some do, some are tricked by others, and some trick themselves.
This does not inhibit IMO a Christian voting for the left. But it is my argument in the framework of a political rather than a chruch/religous discussion, using Christianity as a cogent point for those who are Christian.

The reason the don't get jobs is probably because they didn't knuckle down and do as they are told at school, therefore didn't get the score they needed to go on to uni and get a degree so they could get a decent income. So, really, poor people are just individuals who do what they want with their life, while the rich are obedient slaves to the corporate run system. For some reason, obedience seems to grant jobs and money and wealth; while the opposite leads to poverty.

saying that jesus' views are, independant of them being jesus', "inherently virtuous" is almost entirely meaningless
