How politically correct you seem to be. And I did very clearly express my dislike of violence - first line.
I said MORE upset. Because you made a passing mention of your 'dislike of violence', but dedicated a post to crying about 'generalisation'.

It is revolting how you seem more focused on slandering muslims than on 'actual VIOLENCE'.
maybe because the violence is being committed by muslims?

zombieapocalypse believes that thousands of angry people would have held riots world-wide following the mocking of a religious prophet, even if they weren't religious

I'm so fucking done
RELIGION IS THEIR EXCUSE. It's the people.

Stap blaming religion.

http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/Pages/Opinion-Polls.htm

- 36% of Arabs polled said the 9/11 attacks were morally justified
- 43% of Nigerian Muslims say suicide attacks against civilians in defense of Islam are justified.
- 38% of Lebanese Muslims say suicide attacks against civilians in defense of Islam are justified.
- 51% of Pakistanis grieve Osama bin Laden (only 11% happy over death)
- 59% of Indonesians support Osama bin Laden in 2003
- 83% of Pakistanis support stoning adulterers
- 76% of Pakistanis want strict Sharia imposed in every Islamic country
- 49% (plurality) of Indonesians want strict Sharia imposed in every Islamic country
- 76% of Moroccans want strict Sharia imposed in every Islamic country

Those results are disgusting if they are correct.

So really it's just that Arabs are violent, uncultured barbarians, regardless of what religion they have? Oh, well that's ok then.

Some interesting discussion about the riot and cause of it on the Whirlpool forums.

http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1980428

An overwhelming response of people condemning it and posting remarks that Whirlpool would normally censor (if it was not for the fact that almost every single comment was on the correct side of the fence about what should be done with the rioters).

I've not heard of the columnist before (don't tend to read SMH that often) although he sums it up nicely

SMH Columnist said:
HAVE we Sydney-siders got this straight?

Because on the other side of the Pacific, somewhere in California, some loser has thrown together some kind of amateur internet video insulting your particular god, you think it justifiable to:

- Take over the Sydney CBD.

- Cause willful damage to property.

- Throw rocks at police officers who are doing nothing more than their duty.

- Hold up such ludicrous signs as “Behead all those who insult the prophet.”

“If you don't like the way we do things here, go back to where you came from.” The net result of your actions yesterday is that – for those people specifically disgracing themselves in the CBD yesterday, not the vast bulk of Islamic Australians – much of the country now feels the same.

Which ones are the sharia law flags, the green ones or the black ones? Why does 'sharia law' even have a flag, let alone it being displayed in Australia?

Which is?
As in probably 150+ different posters were against the riots and why they were rioting, thought the police did an excellent job and that Australia must get tough on these fundamentalists. On the other side of the fence there were a total of 2 (literally 2 people) people who thought the rioters actions were justified and that the police were heavy handed.
