rudd is a better leader than gillard.

Source: Sathius005
rudd is attracting a greater vote than gillard in terms of the two party preferred vote in the 2013 federal election. Gillard attracted 43 per cent of the 2pp vote in june 2013, kevin rudd attracts 48 per cent of the 2pp vote. Rudd is more popular with the voters than gillard as manifested by his net approval ratings.

haha yes mark latham is the hero australia needs

"It showed very bad judgment and it shows he has low standards," Mr Latham said on 3AW in reference to Tony Abbott's remarks about the Liberal candidate for the seat of Lindsay, Fiona Scott on Tuesday.
"I had a good look at Fiona Scott on page eight of The Australian today and she doesn't have sex appeal at all.
"She's not that good of a sort."

Calling it now, if Carbon Tax does go the libs will ditch direct action as "unaffordable in the current environment"

Secondary call: Abbot will break more promises than Gillard, but receive only a fraction of the criticism for doing so (indeed I bet some, including those here, will label it "responsible")

Looks like all Labor has to offer is gimmicks.

But hell, it's worked before. The reason JG ever got in power was because she was Australia's opportunity to have a first female prime minister.
Are you saying women get special treatment ?

They've backed themselves into a corner by saying for 3 years that the government must deliver what it promises at election, and then making horrible promises. I would be a lot more inclined to vote for the coalition if their promises would be as unreliable as during the Howard years.

Graney mate vote 1. Australian Labor Party 2. Greens and Liberals last in the House of Representatives and 1. Australian Labor party in the senate. I encourage everyone on Bored of Studies to put the Liberals and Nationals last. The Liberals plan to take a sledge hammer (toxic government cuts to the bone) to the Australian economy and introduce elements of the Work Choices Act 2005 (cuts to the pay and conditions of ordinary workers).

Evidence to back up this assertion please.

Question: say there is a hung parliament and both leaders stick to their guns and refuse to enter a formal agreement, does the GG call another election or could the balance of power parties still force an outcome by giving confidence to one side without actually getting into an agreement with them

There doesn't need to be a formal agreement at all. Kevin Rudd for example returned to power without formally making agreements with the cross bench. There only needs to be another election if the house votes no confidence in the incumbent PM and does not vote to give anybody else its confidence.
