Always been interested in public sector work so a government department or agency is my goal. Hopefully something to do with money/tax (accounting perhaps?)

I've had this dream of owning my own cafe but I don't believe I can make it a reality or at least not for a while

Good luck to all the '15 hscers! Ive heard that this year, a majority of our cohort are pretty laid back. I can confirm that the more naturally intelligent people are pretty chill in my school, so their tests dont reflect their potential. Can anyone else confirm this? :)
Yeah- this is the case for my cohort. We're all just sitting back weighing our gun powder for the HSC.

Wow... so many people want to do med XD; I mean, even among my group of friends, a third of them want to go into med.
I don't know what course I'll like to do in Uni, I think I'll sponge off my sister follow my twin into uni and see where she goes xD;

For my cohort, I would personally disagree. There are kids who're really taking year 11 seriously, but so far all the people who are kidna like "established" as the smart kids way back from year 7, still remain at the top of the cohort.

Just was curious as we were comparing our school cohorts, can anyone else post their schools' 2013 HSC rank (or range)?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk:

Preliminary HSC '14- Subjects: 2U Maths, Adv. English, Business Studies, Legal Studies,
Economics, Agriculture.

HSC '15- ATAR Goal: 90+
Top 15 here for 2013~ Apparently my cohort is the dumb cohort though xD;

Good luck to everyone in attaining their dream careers! c:

Yeah, my group of friends are all really competitive at the moment and we have been since Year 7. But I know there are intelligent people who could do really well if they applied themselves.

Okay I wanted to become a pilot but it costs so much so it probably won't happen. (its okay I will fly in Flight Simulator on my laptop)
I really want to become a musician but it won't happen. I mean the most thing I enjoy doing is performing live and playing music...
I like maths/computers/science so I guess I will do something in Engineering, Computing or Commerce at UNSW or UTS.

My cohort became exponentially competitive this year. I remember from 8-10 where an 80 for a subject (most of the time regardless) could get you a decent rank (between top 15 or 10) in the highest class, and the marks fluctuated .. A LOT. Now everyone is stepping up their game and the marks in 2u maths between 80th and 20th is like.. 5 marks...

Focus on what the job/ career provides you - comfort? financial stability? Wealth? satisfaction? Once you've figured that out you'll have no regrets :)

I have no ideal job //cries
lewl. Personally I reckon a job that gives personal satisfication would be short lived unless it's like charity/health etc. Only because every job I can think of atm is so damn repetitive D: Specialisation is killing brain cells~

Hey everyone!
I was just thinking of this myself so I thought, why not start a thread ? Share what you hope to do in the future, your career goals and ideas about the future, even which subjects you most enjoy in school! I'll go first:
I really enjoy English, it is my favourite subject however in the future, I wish to pursue a career in Medicine. Preferably I want to become a surgeon specialising in cardiology, I know it's a huge goal but I'm willing to work haha :)
Can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts!
