Lol how do you think you went overall tho? Tbh I reckon I probs got around 40-45% for 4U, as long as marking isn't ridiculously harsh

I reckon its possible to scrape to 50% if the markers mark kindly... This is my reaction when i saw question 14...

Where can I download the past BOS trials again. I deleted them off my computer after I raged at the difficulty of the exam, but I want to try again, and can't remember where I donwloaded them from.

$Lol this Q is easier to do without using that imo: simply $2015 \equiv -1(\mod 3)\Rightarrow (2015)^{2015}\equiv (-1)^{2015}\equiv -1 (\mod 3)$, so $k=1$ is smallest to get to 0 (mod 3), which is what divisible by 3 means. However, this provides an easy way to get the answer, and to check your answer as well.$

Just saying that from factorisation, $2015 + 1 =2016 | 2015^{2015} + 1$ doesn't seem to ``use'' that fact much tbh. It would've been more of a ``use'' maybe if they'd made the fact to ``use'' this: ``2016 is divisible by 3''.$

$Wait, I guess what was intended was saying $2016-1 = 2015 \Rightarrow (2016-1)^{2015}=2015^{2015}$, and by expanding the L.H.S. we see it consists of powers of 2016 (which are all divisible by 3 as 2016 is divisible by 3), except for the last term of $(-1)^{2015} = -1$, so we need to add $\underline{1}$ in order to get that term to 0, so the whole thing is divisible by 3, and so the answer is 1. This is essentially the same thing as the method in first paragraph.$

Not the 2014 BOS Trial. I remember downloading a zip file with 2u, 3u and 4u with like the past 2/3 years or something

yeh i remember to, its in a thread somewhere but i cant remember which one
You can still find the 2012, 2013 and 2014 trials under the resource tab for all the 3 levels
