Certainly. My conclusion regarding my own circumstance is that pursuing the course of HSC repetition would be needless delay, given that the HSC is not a particularly challenging qualification by international standards (still three months until the exam) and that one has vastly more opportunities to educate themselve once in university, as opposed to being confined to a high-school level. I would also suggest the OP to think about transfer. But I was merely presenting this "self-tuition" option as a possibility. Its better to start a related degree and transfer into your desired course, or if you really want to redo the HSC, do it through TAFE. Given that you already have a high B average, I doubt redoing the HSC would prove a substantially better result worth throwing an extra year away. Unless you literally get an ATAR in the 30's - 50's, and/or you believe external circumstances have hindered you enough that it substantially affects your ATAR - then redoing the HSC is a generally bad idea.
dw I kinda goofed up my first assessment tasks dont think about restarting y12 or anything like that, just salvage what your have you still got time for the hsc and get band 6's just use your time effectively nowI'm in year 12, close to the HSC completion, and would like to know if I can retake it.
I'm not doing badly by school standards, even in the case of mental health at the start of the year I haven't fallen below a high B. I have an anxiety disorder that surfaces through irrational perfectionism tho as well as other learning difficulties (believe this is eligible for adjustment factors). I've only learnt to better channel this into effort in the last 2 terms, meaning I had a pretty staggered start. The school I'm at is fairly low in the rankings, and I worry about external marking if I can't rank high across my subjects. I'm looking to go into legal as a passion of mine, and understand the competitive nature of the industry, and that even with adjustment factors I may not qualify. I know this might not make sense, but my end goal is opportunity and I don't mind staying in HS another year. I was wondering if there's any way to re-sit the ATAR after trying out for another school, one that's selective. There's a reasonable chance to get in on year 12/11 grades, if that's what's accepted.
Srsly don't come for me -have yet to research more as I'm not sure if it's possible.
Thank you
