Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on something that I always wished existed when I was in Year 12, a simple calculator that converts raw marks → scaled marks → estimated ATAR.
Most ATAR calculators only work from band or scaled marks, which isn’t what students actually get after exams. I built this tool to help you understand how your raw marks might translate after scaling, based on historical BOS data, subject scaling patterns, and typical moderation ranges.
It’s free, no signup, and super quick to use.
If you want to try it and give feedback on accuracy or features to add, check out the link above.
I’m releasing this because:
Hope it helps someone.

I’m releasing this because:
- A lot of students post “what ATAR will I get with xx raw marks?”
- Raw → ATAR conversion usually gets confusing without scaling understanding
- No existing calculators simplify the process this way
- I want to make HSC planning a bit less stressful, especially during trials and externals
Hope it helps someone.
