don't believe everything you read... FIC's historically are under strict confidentiality until hsc results day, so noone should really know if the calls have been made or not. just wait and see??

I absolutely agree with every single part of this. Particularly in that exams are an incomplete snapshot of a person's ability -- even their ability in that field of study.

Imo, this depends - what is the purpose of the question? Is it to test mathematical intuition and ability for deduction? In which case I think it is a good use. Or, is it to test direct knowledge of the course content, and the ability to form evidence-based conclusions with rational logic? If so...

Multi way is fine (binary selection would also be fine assuming they are using the normal marking criteria for pseudocode - it'd be very non-standard for them to mark it requiring multiway).
