I'm not thinking about grad med/dent anymore because I'm in... And I did adv. science in Usyd... and I find my degree quite helpful in preparing GAMSAT (science part, of course).. In terms of GAMSAT, It's not the matter of the degree... it's the matter of subjects you choose and some...

Yeah 8am lecture was a pain in my arse... But yes, it seems that many ppl usually get surprised after they get the results for adv. maths, esp calculus... and I was surprised too... So yeah, believe it or not mate!!

If you really want to be a maxillofacial surgeon, you have to do BOTH.... otherwise you won't be able to get residency training...

Adv. Sci is not that hard, since in fact, you don't have to do any advanced subjects in 1st year at all. Advanced maths subjects are scaled up pretty heaps, but not Bio and Chem. Don't know about physics, but I've heard it's scaled up as well..

B Med Sci is not 'the best' pre-degree to get into Usyd dent, since not many people have been actually into dent from Usyd B. Med Sci..

In 1st year Chem, there's no actually TSP chem but it's called 'SSP'... and people, in my opinion, are quite nice...
