    Tertiary Prep Certificate III

You're absolutly right about the whole environment thing. Although I did have a bad day today in Chemistry. The subject and class was fine but two things, I almost died of starvation because the bloody canteen decided to close (Who the Fcuk closes a canteen at 2pm on a friday!!!!????) and...

    Emma / Clueless

My tip : GET THE CRIB BOOK!! That baby helped me out and got me an 82 for the exams. Basically follow the themes - I think I did (trying to remember) Sexuality: Cher is perceived as a sex symbol and director lady specifically went against the stereotype of blonde and made Cher value her...

hey are there any temp casuals here? I was hired as a temp Xmas casual for 03 and things were going well, until Xmas - then my name was no where to be seen on the rosters for 2 months.....I thought that was my purpose - to be an Xmas casual...therefore working during Xmas time....... I was...

    Colesmyer - Kmart

mine was weird - I applied for fun on the colesmyer website in April 03, then I suddenly get a call in July for a phone interview and online quiz, then a month later I get another phone interview, then finally by Sept I'm doing the manager 1on1 interview and I get it. Talk about long term...

    Tertiary Prep Certificate III

I totally agree with you on the whole different environment thing!! For some weird reason all the other tafe courses started last week - we started today just to be different I guess....lol The thing that freaks me out most is that there is dead silence in the class - everyone is shutting up...

    Tertiary Prep Certificate III

Well, just had my first official day of TAFE and I feel smart! I actually understood what they were teaching me!!! Not to be too hateful of my old school and the system, but I learnt more stuff in those few hours, than I ever did over the two years. It's great! We were doing poetry and...

    Enrolling

it depends how popular it is - whether it's an October closing date or a random walk up to tafe whenever and enrol - ask your local tafe

    Common Rooms

We pre-planned our common room in year 8......we're still waiting for it and most of us are now in UNI......I love our crap school!

    Hardest/Easiest

Suprisingly Algebra was easy, and everything else was hard. (I found this really frustrating!)
  15. MissMacbeth

    Algebra

Make sure you know the rules of Algebra - Everytime I forget how to do an equation or what not, I just refer back to the rules and it basically walks you thru it. "signpost" maths got me thru school since year 2 plus it starts out with easy Qs then progresses to more harder ones by the time...

    Repeating Year 12

repeating..kinda....I"m doing the tertiary prep certificate...it's way easier than the hsc - the exam for tafe's english version is a take home essay! I think i'm doing it for 2 reasons: 1: I'm a fcuking dumbass who only got 57 for a UAI 2: I didn't do science or maths and I wanna catch up so...

    2004 target UAI

depending on the scoring system (at tafe I'm not sure if the highest I can get is 88 or 100 like everyone else...have to check) I would either hope for : A: 88 B: 90+
  18. MissMacbeth

    I Give Up!!!

I'm with you - I absolutly hated english during yr 11 and 12 and I used to looooooove it in the other years. But then all of a sudden, litterally the week before the exams, I feel in love with the stuff again (Or maybe I just had a breakdown.......lol) I can actually talk about King Lear...

UAI Scaling: Advice from a 2003 Student

I wouldn't ask my opinion or take it to heart, but I'd say you're fcuked 'Not-that-Bright" yeah, my sister wanted to do journalism, and she got in litterally by 0.1 of a uai mark and yet, she in her second year was asked to do honours and is the dux of her class of god knows how many. Goes to...
