Is it possible for a person who is ranked 2nd internally to beat the 1st placed person in the final HSC mark for a subject? Say, if the 2nd ranked individual gets 95% in their HSC exam, and the 1st gets around 85%, is that possible? Or does the mark moderation mean that the 1st person always...

That pretty much describes me too. Haven't looked at my major work, haven't opened my 'Ext 2 work' folder, and I really don't intend to. It'll probably be at least another 10 years until I can re-read it and not literally beat myself over the head for every wrongly chosen word or misused comma.

As a WGHS dux, I can answer this one for you :p The person who tops the greatest number of subjects gets dux in Yrs 7-11. If you have several people who each topped the same number of courses, they then count the greatest number of 2nd place positions.

Lol don't worry, I ran into mine today too. We had been told that the markers would be finished by roughly 3:30pm, so a friend and I were waiting to pack up. It got to about 5:30 and they were still there! We walked past to check if they were finished and all three markers chose that exact...

Where you put the copies of your surveys, any research you did that you didn't put in your folio (excess), any credits if you've used other people's work, signatures from outsourcing... all the random stuff. That's what our teacher told us at least.

Despite the amount of words I wrote, I completely agree. DT seems to constantly encourage unnecessary repetition throughout the entire portfolio, and it's not only pointless, it's counter-productive. Why should we bother listing everything 13 times when we could be summarising and more clearly...
