    Enrolment Days

each faculty has nominated different enrolment days...so say commerce one day, engineering on another, law on another day, etc. and you *have* to go to them on that day. just ring up the faculty and just explain your situation. they are usually adamant you go on the right day because they give...

Does your subject impact on your UAI results?

its not the subjects themselves its how well you go in them.

    Trig/Bearings

no idea about textbooks but the best way to deal with bearings is to always draw a diagram. draw a mini compass if that helps. 0/360o is north, and then (going clockwise) 90o is east, 180o is south, and 270o is west. also, always pay attention to where the bearing is from as well.

    How can I improve??

It is actually better for you to get 92% in Business than 80% in chem. Keep it especially when you're coming first. Top 60 school isn't *too* bad and your ranks are quite strong. You will want to be in at the very least top 5 in everything (just taking a guess though, how many get 95+ in...

    Scaling process

Because of the current scaling process anyone can get a high UAI with any subject combination as all subjects are (as close to as can be) all measured on a level playing field. The old system basically encouraged everyone to do the "easy" subjects to get the highest possible UAI/TER. So be thankful.

    Scaling in the UAI

yeah but it doesnt really matter if you get below state average you're fucked anyway.

    Urgent Help

You *should* be able to do that...that is to say quickly withdraw from the maths subjects etc and then enrol into the core commerce subjects and then change your commerce major to accounting later on (you wouldn't lose any time)... But if you're bringing that attitude into uni that "oh well if...

    Urgent Help

if actuarial is a commerce major then all you would be doing is changing your major to accounting so yes you can do that.

    The Woolworths Thread

well if you're packing fast and as well as you can then all you can really do is keep doing it. if you're good at your job they can't sack you. people who are slower than you are staying on so you should be staying on. but still if they do get on your back about that then just do an even more...

    Urgent Help

    3) probably is. actuarial studies is quite difficult. do you have any 3u background? you will find it extremely hard if you don't at least do a bridging course in 3u. the maths is quite intense because they assume you've done at least 3u if you're in actuarial (well if they don't then they...

UTS vs UNSW ONCE AND FOR ALL

there's your answer. it's a highly regarded uni especially in engineering anyway.

Deciding between Uni's. Quick reply please

sounds like youre leaning towards unsw tbh. just go to unsw, if that's what uni you want to go to. really an extra 20 minutes isn't really going to make much of a difference especially when its the difference between 40 min and an hr. once you get into a routine of taking the train down (give it...

    The Woolworths Thread

well if you've been told you're slow then speed up! lol. maybe you could look at how everyone else packs (and faces)...maybe you're spending too much time making it look neat and not enough on just getting everything on (which is the main thing)...if you're slow just pack the whole aisle and...

Swimming or jogging to lose weight?

have you been skipping barefoot or sandals/thongs? no wonder your calves are sore! well you could always think about doing a recovery section in the pool...that is to say you skip for a bit, go off to the pool and recover there or do your (swim) workout there then recover. as for...

    nightfill questions

Height is an advantage but don't try pressing your advantage because you're tall because even short people do the job (just with steps). You can pack quicker without one for sure. There is no *real* testing, if you get past the group interview (there's information about that somewhere on the...

UAI over 90 - how likely

depending on the subjects you do, but you would have to average about 85+ in everything to get 90 uai.

    Arts/commerce Urgent

*yeah the workload will be the same *you won't be the only one doing comm/arts and you're not the only one doing a double degree so they always try and ensure that there are no clashes between subjects even across different faculties. you should be fine to do all your subjects. they always...

    Integration

i'm pretty sure the limits are (-2,0) but you should draw a graph just to make sure
