    State standard essay writing

If you want to know about the standard, I recommend you look at the comments from the HSC marking centre. They give good insight as to what top band responses do well and how to differentiate your essays from the rest of the state.

    Getting into Maths Extension

TBH you don't need 3u maths for medicine. You need 2u minimum and if you're driven enough, you can smash it.

    Failed half-yearlies? NEVER FEAR!

I'm making this post in response to heaps of other threads that go along the lines of this, and feel as though its getting a bit tiring re-typing what will essentially the same response from me: I got x% in this assessment weighted y%. I also "failed" my previous assessment. Can I still get a...

How can I improve my note-taking?

    1. Write faster 2. Pick out the most important things of what your teacher said and write only that down, and after, try and recollect what has been said and rewrite it to reinforce your understanding 3. Record your lessons so you can rewind and play the parts you miss 4. Ask a friend or the...

Well just failed half yearlies pretty badly :(

I think you need to take a step back and work out your time management issues, as bolded. I think if you do work on those particular issues of having to resort to cramming, as opposed to gradual revision, you can find substantial improvements in your results. I know cramming does work for some...

My mum won't let me drop and I didn't hand in the first assessment.

I don't want to force you to rebel against your parents or anything, but you really need to take a stand to her and drop it because it is for yourself AND your education...if she doesn't listen to you, get your teachers to talk to her and explain the situation. I don't think your mum is as...

    the ending

F - Victor and the monster's relationship, although it is extremely violent and full of hate, is necessary for both to survive. I think it shows that inextricable bond between creation/creator, and its also Shelley exploring the destructive end if we take science to far and we're unable to...

When are your chances of band 6 "over"?

there are a lot of variables to factor into play when you ask that question, but generally, I like to believe that the chances of getting a b6 are over when you say it is. and no it doesn't matter too much if you did poorly in half yearlies because you still have over 50% of exams to get a...
