    Helpppp ....decision

With practice, 2U can become relatively better to handle in the future. Why do you think it's hard? Also, you don't know if you will get 70ish as an external mark in the HSC, you're only in year 11 and there hasn't been enough time to tell how you are going with 2U. In terms of ATAR...

Away a week before Exam Period

It depends on your school's malpractice/misadventure policies. You will most likely need to fill out a misadventure form and obtain a medical certificate from your doctor, so it doesn't look like you were jigging school to study (i.e. malpractice). Talk to whoever is in charge of this at your...

    What should I do?

Ok: 1. Calm down. Stressing is seriously not going to help you with anything at all. 2. Look at all the assessment tasks and break down what you have to do for each one. Prioritise these tasks too, so you know which ones are most important for each test. Get organised and get cracking. 3. See...

Which section to do first in an English Exam?

Would definitely go with short answers > essay > creative. With creative and essay, ensure you spend at least 30 seconds making a plan so you know exactly what you're going to say (more for essay, with creative, make sure you know how to incorporate the stimuli better into your narrative)

Need to know if this is normal?!

Yeah I know what you mean about essays taking forever. But I think you need to start off with a REALLY strong introduction - know exactly what you're going to say from the get go and just run with it. I did that today and finished an essay in 2-3 hours (with breaks in between). Usually I take...

    need help for atar :(

It's difficult to gauge what ATAR you're going to get without: - current rankings - school rank because different schools have different marking standards and assessments. Also, b5 has a mark range of 80-89, and depending on which subjects you scored a b5 in, it can definitely impact upon your...

    Question about the ATAR

^ this is quite true a lot of emphasis is placed upon who is first and who is last (last receives the lowest exam mark). You generally want to be clustered around the top and have a strong internal rank (i.e. the relative gaps in between each rank are very small, so the distribution of the...

    Male VS Female main character?

Uh generally I write creatives from my own experiences and being female they can come with female perspectives? but there really is 0 rigid structure as to what gender perspective you can write a creative from, as long as it is a good creative. like JK Rowling wrote HP and Harry is a boy and she...

    Subject Scaling HELP

in terms of ATAR scaling, it is best to check the UAC reports to see what the scaled mark is in comparison to its mean/average, as it changes every year. but generally, in order (roughly): eco/2u > bio > SOR/legal >>>>> english standard

    Pressure + family issues

Preface: take my advice with a grain of salt, I'm not qualified to offer proper advice, just a mere opinion. It sucks you have to go through the most important year of your secondary education with family issues looming over you. It definitely sucks but I think you need to understand from your...

Do I need originality in my themes to hit A range?

To hit the A range, you must answer the question. It's often better to use uncommon quotes, but if you can't articulate or argue your new and out-there themes, I definitely think it's better to stick to the pre-established themes. TBH, this text has been used ~6 years and its going to be a...
