    Section I - Multiple Choice

You remember incorrectly x=pi/2 is not on any of the graphs, but I get what you mean. If you know the formula it is much quicker to do it that way though

    Section I - Multiple Choice

wolfram says D for question 6 http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=y%3Dsin%282x%2Bpi%2F3%29 I did the multiple choice really fast and put B, because I missed that D had an intercept at -pi/6 :(

    General Thoughts: Mathematics

I did a limiting sum and got 30 ... I knew that was wrong though so I put 1/6. The correct answer is probably slightly more than half, as they both have the same chance of winning on their go, he just goes first.

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Pretty sure 10 was B, positive acceleration = increasing speed. (although in this case it would have been decreasing velocity)

    Pen Or Pencil for graphs?

Yeah, you do use black pen for maths. On papers were they want you to use pencil for diagrams (SDD, Physics) it specifically says to do so.

    SDD Marathon 2013

    1) Lexical Analysis, syntactical analysis, code generation 2) The second stage of compilation is syntactical analysis. In this stage the 'grammar' of the high level language is checked to confirm that all statements are valid. Syntactical analysis converts the strings of tokens created in the...

Old Syllabus/way of asking questions vs New Syllabus/Way of asking questions

Do a bit of both, but make sure you read the tracked copy of the syllabus so you know which dot points have been removed.

    NEW Physics Exam Added

Thanks, this one was much better than the second one, which I felt was very hard. I did find one bug though, in the question 4 I selected the correct answer according to the explanation, but it has marked me wrong and highlighted another answer as correct? Also I'm pretty sure all the answers...

    HSC 2012 question 11)f)ii)

That expression does not have a constant term for all values of n, they want you to find out which ones it does have a value other than zero for. You need to use your working in the previous part to determine which values it does have a constant term for.

    SDD Marathon 2013

Challenge accepted :) BTW I am assuming that the college is actually willing to go with one of the two options, as you question could imply they will accept neither. i. Advantages of Cloud over Local Cheaper initial cost, with Cloud services you pay a subscription meaning that there...

    SDD Marathon 2013

Didn't see this when I posted my reply. The elements of the system is a prelim dot point, they are people, procedures, hardware, software and data. It's two marks because all you have to do is name them, usually you get one mark for getting two and two for getting all of them or all but one or...

    SDD Marathon 2013

For this one I was thinking of a specific computer input device, for example: A keyboard is a computer input device that provides input in the form of character data. A keyboard operates by containing a grid of electric circuits, when a key is pressed it connects circuits on the grid, allowing...

Can they ask for one related text?

Hi all I know they can ask for two, or at least two related texts, but I was wondering if anyone knew if they can ask for only one related? Thanks

The different kind of 'code' HELP!

Op code is the code the CU creates when converting instructions into codes understood by the ALU

The different kind of 'code' HELP!

I should add the Object code is not actual machine code, it is a special code that contains instructions understood by a VM. You don't need to know this for SDD though

The different kind of 'code' HELP!

Compiled Code, Machine Code, Object Code (there all synonyms and they are all exactly the same :) ) - binary instructions that can be executed by the CPU. They can not be ported to different platforms Decompiled Code - Code that was machine code and has now been converted back into assembler or...

The different kind of 'code' HELP!

I'm pretty sure all you need to know is that compiled code is the same as machine code, and for the purpose of the SDD so is object code. Machine code is the binary instructions understood by the CPU. Decompiled code will either be assembler or source code, and source code is code written in a...
