Depends, I refereed to mine at the start and the end, but not enough in the middle. I think they do mark down for using the whole things at the start (what I did), but not sure.

They pretty much said we had to take them, and if you don't want it put it in the bin, because it's a pain for them to store them.

I read it as a child/descendent being the persona, and the picture being of a grandfather/great-grandfather

Any new predictions after seeing paper 1?

Just reread it sorry, it's not in present tense. The way I used it let me write the rest in present tense, didn't realise at the time though so I'll probs lose marks for that :(

I'd actually did second person for one of my practises, and it came out quite well so when I saw the quote I though I'd give it a go. Probably could have done with a bit more action, but I felt it went quite well. (1 booklet + an extra page) Yes, although the narrator was a secondary...

As long as its obvious which one you chose its fine to not mention it. The 2009 one was a similar question and in the notes from the marking centre they said some students used themes from two quotes and that was fine. I used mine to open my story which will probably loose me marks though

That was the creased picture one right? I used the photo as a symbol of his connection to his great-grandfather and used other evidence from the poem to support how that influenced his identity

Said that they weren't influenced by attitudes only by decisions (I used Skyrznecki and A Song of Ice and Fire). Realised halfway through that there actually was lots of evidence for agreeing with the whole question in Skrynecki, but had to keep saying there wasn't :/
