    about directions

but how could you forgot this stuff? its so important :p i was thinking of just tatooing all the formulas and rules to my arms and forehead, but im too scrawny and my head is not large enough. actually, its not very large at all...

    about directions

LHR = Fleming's Left Hand Rule ie F, B, and I are going to be perpendicular. Thumb - force direction First finger - magnetic field direction Second finger - Current direction Line up the two known vectors, and read the unknown vector direction. There are different ways to do it, but this...

    Scream! (& cry ...)

you know i think its a horrible and vindictive thing to remind everybody. and that count on the main site is awful too. i am quite happy in my private bubble of ignorance and incomprehension. u dont have to burst it do you?? :bomb:

    Quotes

Greece 500 - 440 BC Its probably a little late now but reading Herodotus and Plutarch (and a little bit of Thucydides) helped me alot. I got the important quotes, and i also got a better grasp on the bias and inaccuracy that they sometimes are guilty of. And they are actually interesting...

    Silly Mistakes!!!!!!!!!

You must know that markers are inhuman. They don't sleep, they eat kids who dropped out at the end of year 10, and they certainly will not make any mistakes marking - at least ones that would boost marks. I'm sure that some have a knack for marking correct things wrong. The 4u maths marker i...

    conventions of crime fiction

Yeah but you can reference the Knox thing if you want to talk about how values in society have changed over time, and how it is reflected in crime fiction having less taboos and being subverted more etc

    conventions of crime fiction

There's another one that's similar to that by Van Dine (1928).... but its like 20 points, and is not quite as bound by values of the time. I think it's too big to post, but if any1 is interested email me and ill send it to you. Btw the "No Chinaman" rule from Knox isnt a racial slur, its a...

    Terrified!

Just imagine how you're going to feel walking into English AoS :evilfire: Seriously, the HSC is not that important if u dont get what you need, there are alternative means of going to uni (as a mature age student, for instance). and the UAI becomes irrelevant after 2 yrss (im pretty sure)

    Old skool kids shows!!

cartoons just aren't made like they used to be :) But gumby (gumbi? i dont know) was a universal favourite. i have proof. we started singing the gumby theme song at the pub (we were actually sober), and about 8 strangers just joined in... it was one of the finest moments of my life *wipes tear...

    Rock Music!

I think you're making a mistake saying that pop music sucks. ok, most of it does, but there is the occasional good song that becomes (or is) pop. Pop music in itself is ok (but generally not to my taste). Its the marketing inherent in current pop music that i cannot stand (ie Popstars, artists...

The first rule of Powerplay is ... ???

and mention the mise-en-scene :) even though it may be completely unrelated, ive been told to try to include it somehow anyway - its supposed to show how well you know the film technique

    What's a good mark?

i think you are just destined to never know the truth. but im sure homer has made some valid laws in his time :)

Which text book is better: excel or Jacaranda or any other?

Any system which includes Cheerleading as a course cant be too good :p forget where that was though. That being the extent of my knowledge, i am allowed to make such profound social comments :) what pros have they got? ive come to the conclusion that any education system is going to have...

Which text book is better: excel or Jacaranda or any other?

yeah thats what i meant. i mean the scaling might factor in the sciences being too large this year, and next year the scaling might drop fractionally in relation to other courses. like i said, i dont know, and i actually doubt they'd do that, but i suppose it is possible. We all know that...

Which text book is better: excel or Jacaranda or any other?

That's true it is a really interesting course. But i have the feeling that somehow the smaller syllabus is going to make the HSC just a tad less demanding for you. Actually i dont mind that much, but they have known the courses were too big since last year, and haven't really addressed...

    Study...

Hmm May i suggest not to work too hard at the beginning of year 12. From experience, its more important to be consistent and stay motivated, because about half of my year lost their motivation, after starting y12 really enthused, and their results are really going to suffer now.

Which text book is better: excel or Jacaranda or any other?

I'm really upset about how they are cutting the science courses down. Dammit if i had to do the whole course (this year) then so should you ppl next year!! But it sounds like their going to be the correct sizes. Makes me sad. And jealous.

plz help....Which option topic is the best to do?

I don't think they'll make you choose straight away - we only had to choose in term 2. I did Quanta to Quarks, because we had covered about a third of the module in Ideas to Implementation (one of the compulsory modules). It was pretty boring, and i wish i had done Age of Silicon now (which...

    Derivation for Simpson's law.

Although there was a Simpson guy in the army with donkeys... i hate donkeys. Never actually seen one, but i know they are evil. dont ask how. anyway simpson had some donkeys; his job was to get the wounded into the field hospital - he used the donkeys to carry the injured, and saved quite a...
